    File FAFSA (and Express TAP application if a New York State resident) by February 1.

    Financial aid offers mailed to newly admitted students. For continuing student, e-mail notifications are sent to BU e-mail addresses.

  • calendar.gif March-May

    Appeals of initial eligibility reviewed.

  • calendar.gif Mid-May

    On-campus job information mailed to students offered Federal Work Study.

  • calendar.gif June-July

    Federal direct student loan promissory notes must be completed.
    Go to online website to complete.

    Orientation sessions for new students. Financial aid general session offered. Bill Notification sent to students.

  • calendar.gif August

    Bill Due. Students arrive on campus. Refund checks available to students who are due a refund. Work-study job interviews held.

  • calendar.gif November
    Spring tuition bills mailed. Payment due in January.

Why You May Not Have Received Your Financial Aid Notice

  • arrow_right.gifBinghamton University was not one of the schools listed to receive your FAFSA information. If this is the case, you need to add Binghamton's school code.
  • arrow_right.gifYou have not been admitted to Binghamton University or were admitted recently.
  • arrow_right.gifYour Social Security number on the FAFSA does not match the Social Security number on your admissions application.
  • arrow_right.gifInconsistencies are detected in the FAFSA and/or additional information is needed.
