How to Apply for Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the standard application used to apply for any type of financial aid including loans.

Once we receive your FAFSA from the Federal Processor we will send you a financial aid offer letter which will describe your aid eligibility. You must then sign and return one copy of the offer, indicating whether or not you wish to accept any loans.

We may also inform you of other documents we require in order to process any financial aid for you. Once we have your written acceptance of the loan we will set you up to receive a computer-generated promissory note for the loan, which you must then sign and return to us.

Once we have received your completed promissory note, your funds will be scheduled for disbursement to the school. Loans will be released to the student at the beginning of the semester.
