Financial Aid Grants

Overview:
Grants are funds from the federal and state government that do not need to be repaid. Students apply for federal grants by submitting the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA). If a student is eligible, grants are usually just a portion of the financial aid package offered to the student.

The DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program awards current DC residents the difference between in and out of state tuition (up to $10,000 per academic year). This program is available to students who are registered at least half time in a degree or certificate program, and are current DC residents. More detailed requirements are available on the DC Tuition Assistance Grant Program website http://www.tuitiongrant.washingtondc.gov
