News Alert: Student Loan Limits Increased

As of July 1, the U.S. Department of Education will increase the amount of Federal Direct Student Loans. Students can now borrow up to an additional $2,000 of unsubsidized loan funds per year through the Federal Direct Loan Program. NOTE: Students who received award offers after June 15 were packaged with this funding, if eligible. If you received your award offer before June 15 and would like us to review your eligibility for additional loan funds, contact Financial Aid Services via email, via phone at 607-777-2428, or stop by the office located in Student Wing, Room 109, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Tip: Borrow only what you need. You will have to repay your loans after graduation.

 

Complete your eMPN for loans now!

Federal Direct Student Loan: If you were offered a Direct Student Loan, you must accept the loan online and complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) in order for the loan funds to be credited to your fall semester bill.

To complete a Direct eMPN, go to www.dlenote.ed.gov. You will need your assigned federal PIN number.

Federal Perkins Loan: If you were offered a Perkins Loan, you must accept the loan online and complete an electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) in order for the loan funds to be credited to your fall bill.

To complete a Perkins eMPN, go to http://slsc.albany.edu/ecsi/prom.html. You will need your assigned federal PIN number.

If you have already signed an eMPN, please note that it may take up to 2 weeks for our system to be updated.
